Trust

The problem nobody likes to name.

An app that shows who owns what, and where that person will be on Thursday night, is a shopping list. We built the product starting from that fact.

The principle

Information is shown only when hiding it breaks something

Most platforms display everything by default and let the user restrict afterwards. We do the opposite. Every visible field has to justify itself with a precise use, otherwise it stays closed.

This is not a posture. Watch theft targets people identified in advance, and that identification runs through social media today. A badly designed platform would accelerate exactly that.

The measures

What is in place, concretely

Identity
Verified on entry. Checked identity document, or a referral from an established member who stakes their own place. No anonymous accounts.
Address
Disclosed late. City at announcement, neighbourhood at confirmation, exact address on the day. Never on a public or indexable page.
Collection
Private by default. Your log is visible to nobody until you share one specific piece with one specific person.
Value
Never displayed. No public valuation, no collection ranking, no wealth signal anywhere in the interface.
Hosts
Reviewed application. Hosting carries the safety of the guests. The right is withdrawn as fast as it is granted.
Indexing
None. Profiles, logs and gatherings are not reachable by search engines.
Transactions
Off platform. No payment goes through Rehaut. A second-hand luxury marketplace carries obligations we are not adding today.
Leaving
Export and deletion. At any time, without having to ask anyone.
What we will not do

Four things ruled out by design

  • A public feed where you scroll through other people's collections.
  • A member map, even approximate, even blurred.
  • A collection valuation visible to a third party.
  • Selling or sharing the member base with a brand, any brand.

These four points are written here so they can be held against us later.

A question about safety?

It is the subject we answer most willingly, and most precisely.
